1) Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Mastery (including MasteryExamPrep.com) and the Mastery™ mobile applications (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2) Who we are
The Service is built and operated by Tokenizer Inc., Ontario, Canada (“Mastery by Tokenizer”). We provide educational preparation materials for professional and certification exams.
Contact: support@tokenizer.ca (legacy: support@masteryexamprep.com). See our Privacy Policy for data practices.
3) Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (13+ in many regions) to use the Service.
- Browsing does not require an account. Optional sign-in (e.g., Apple/Google) lets you sync progress across devices.
- You are responsible for your account security and for all activity under it.
4) Educational content — no professional advice
Content is for educational purposes only and is not investment, legal, accounting, tax, security, or other professional advice.
You are responsible for how you apply information and for compliance with laws, regulations, and employer policies.
5) Subscriptions, free trials, billing & refunds
- App stores govern billing: Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds made via Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by those stores’ terms and policies.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Free trials: If offered, trials convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel in time. One trial per account/store policy.
- Changes: Prices, plans, and included features may change; where required, we’ll provide notice via the app/store.
- Taxes: Applicable taxes may be added by the stores.
6) Connectivity & device requirements
An active internet connection is required to load questions and sync progress. Short connection drops are mitigated by caching and auto-retry, but offline operation is not guaranteed. Carrier data charges may apply. We may ship updates that change features, question sets, explanations, or progress calculations.
7) Academic integrity & prohibited conduct
- No cheating: Do not use the Service to solicit, share, or obtain real exam content; do not misrepresent our materials as actual exam questions.
- No scraping or bulk replication: Do not scrape, crawl beyond normal indexing, bulk download, mirror, systematically extract, or use our full text/content (or substantial portions of it) to train models without prior written permission.
- No abuse: Do not attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, or paywalls; do not introduce malware, interfere with operation, or violate laws or third-party rights.
8) Intellectual property & your limited license
- Our content: Text, questions, explanations, diagrams, and media are © Tokenizer Inc. or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your own study.
- Sharing: You may share short excerpts with attribution and a link back. Do not republish full articles, question banks, or datasets without written permission.
- Trademarks: All trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used nominatively for identification only.
9) Third-party links & stores
We link to external sites (docs, standards, app stores). We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, or policies.
App-store terms govern store transactions.
9A) Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you grant Tokenizer Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them to improve the Service without restriction or compensation.
10) Availability, changes & termination
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or content at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
- We may update these Terms; the “Effective date” reflects the latest version.
11) Disclaimers
- No warranties: We do not guarantee correctness, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Results not guaranteed: We do not guarantee exam outcomes, licensure, or any specific results.
12) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tokenizer Inc. (operating Mastery) and its affiliates, directors, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages—including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption—arising from or related to your use of the Service.
13) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
14) Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Courts located in Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you and we may seek equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
